Multi-Level Marketing and Pyramid Selling (Excluded Schemes and Arrangements) (Amendment) Order 2002

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(2) of the Multi-Level Marketing and Pyramid Selling (Prohibition) Act, the Minister for Trade and Industry hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Multi-Level Marketing and Pyramid Selling (Excluded Schemes and Arrangements) (Amendment) Order 2002 and shall be deemed to have come into operation on 1st July 2002.

Amendment of paragraph 2

2. Paragraph 2(2) of the Multi-Level Marketing and Pyramid Selling (Excluded Schemes and Arrangements) Order (O 1, 2002 Ed.) is amended by deleting the words “section 107 (1) of the Companies Act (Cap. 50)” and substituting the words “section 2 (1) of the Securities and Futures Act 2001 (Act 42 of 2001)”.
