Women’s Charter
(Garnishee Proceedings)
(Amendment) Rules 2014

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 180(1) of the Women’s Charter, the Minister for Social and Family Development hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Women’s Charter (Garnishee Proceedings) (Amendment) Rules 2014 and shall come into operation on 7th March 2014.

Amendment of rule 2

2. Rule 2 of the Women’s Charter (Garnishee Proceedings) Rules (R 6) is amended by deleting the words “Subordinate Courts” in paragraph (b) of the definition of “Registrar” and substituting the words “State Courts”.

Amendment of Schedule

3. The Schedule to the Women’s Charter (Garnishee Proceedings) Rules is amended —

(a)	by deleting the words “SUBORDINATE COURTS” in the heading of Form 1 and substituting the words “STATE COURTS”; and
(b)	by deleting the words “Subordinate Courts” wherever they appear in Forms 1 and 2 and substituting in each case the words “State Courts”.
