Road Traffic (Expressway Traffic)
(Amendment) Rules 1997

In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 114 and 140 of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Road Traffic (Expressway Traffic) (Amendment) Rules 1997 and shall come into operation on 12th December 1997.

Amendment of Second Schedule

2. The Second Schedule to the Road Traffic (Expressway Traffic) Rules (R 23) is amended by deleting paragraph 5 and substituting the following paragraph:

“5. That length of the Expressway known as Ayer Rajah Expressway (referred to in this Schedule as AYE) which extends from its intersection at Shenton Way in a general north westward direction past the —

(a)	AYE/Keppel Road Interchange;
(b)	AYE/Kampong Bahru Road Flyover;
(c)	AYE/Lower Delta Road Interchange;
(d)	AYE/Henderson Road Flyover;
(e)	AYE/Alexandra Road Interchange;
(f)	AYE/South Buona Vista Road Interchange;
(g)	AYE/Clementi Road Interchange;
(h)	AYE/Clementi Avenue 2 Interchange;
(i)	AYE/Clementi Avenue 6 Interchange;
(j)	AYE/Jurong Town Hall Road Interchange;
(k)	AYE/Corporation Road Interchange;
(l)	AYE/Pioneer Circus Interchange;
(m)	AYE/Benoi Road Interchange;
(n)	AYE/Upper Jurong Road Interchange;
(o)	AYE/Tuas West Road Interchange,

to its 26½ kilometre post, a distance of approximately 26,500 metres.”.
