Infectious Diseases Act (Amendment of First and Second Schedules) Notification 2003

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 69 of the Infectious Diseases Act, the Minister for Health hereby makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1. This Notification may be cited as the Infectious Diseases Act (Amendment of First and Second Schedules) Notification 2003 and shall come into operation on 17th March 2003.

Amendment of First Schedule

2. The First Schedule to the Infectious Diseases Act is amended by inserting, immediately after item (16), the following item:

“(16A) Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS).”.

Amendment of Second Schedule

3. The Second Schedule to the Infectious Diseases Act is amended by inserting, immediately after item (1), the following item:

“(1A) Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS).”.
