Road Traffic (Collection of Toll at Woodlands
and Tuas Checkpoints) (Amendment) Rules 2017
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 34D of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Transport makes the following Rules:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Rules are the Road Traffic (Collection of Toll at Woodlands and Tuas Checkpoints) (Amendment) Rules 2017 and come into operation on 20 July 2017.
Amendment of rule 2
2.  Rule 2(1) of the Road Traffic (Collection of Toll at Woodlands and Tuas Checkpoints) Rules (R 12) is amended by inserting, immediately after the definition of “checkpoint”, the following definition:
“ “foreign vehicle” means a motor vehicle that —
(a)is not registered under the Act; and
(b)is brought into Singapore from any place outside Singapore;”.
Amendment of rule 7
3.  The Road Traffic (Collection of Toll at Woodlands and Tuas Checkpoints) Rules are amended by renumbering rule 7 as paragraph (1) of that rule, and by inserting immediately thereafter the following paragraph:
(2)  The Registrar or an authorised officer may prohibit the entry into or exit from Singapore of any foreign vehicle if the toll payable under rule 3(1) for that vehicle is in arrears.”.
