Medical Registration (Amendment)
Regulations 2015
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 70 of the Medical Registration Act, the Singapore Medical Council, with the approval of the Minister for Health, makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Medical Registration (Amendment) Regulations 2015 and come into operation on 1 May 2016.
Deletion and substitution of regulation 17
2.  Regulation 17 of the Medical Registration Regulations 2010 (G.N. No. S 733/2010) is deleted and the following regulation substituted therefor:
Persons holding Doctor of Medicine of Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School Singapore before 1 May 2016
17.  For the purposes of section 20(1)(c) of the Act, any person holding a Doctor of Medicine of the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School Singapore before 1 May 2016 and who wishes to be registered as a fully registered medical practitioner must undergo, and pass, Steps I, II and III of the United States Medical Licensing Examination, or such other examination as the Medical Council considers to be its equivalent.”.
