Stamp Duties (Transfer of HDB Flats Within the Family) (Remission) (Amendment) Order 2001

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 74 of the Stamp Duties Act, the Minister for Finance hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Stamp Duties (Transfer of HDB Flats Within the Family) (Remission) (Amendment) Order 2001 and shall come into operation on 21st December 2001.

Amendment of the Schedule

2. The Schedule to the Stamp Duties (Transfer of HDB Flats Within the Family) (Remission) Order (O 2) is amended by deleting paragraph 1 and substituting the following paragraph:

“1. No consideration is given to the outgoing lessee except for the repayment to his Central Provident Fund account of —

(a)	any moneys withdrawn from such account in connection with the purchase of the flat; and
(b)	if required by the Central Provident Fund Board, any interest that would have accrued thereto if the withdrawal had not been made.”.
