(Appointment of Lock-ups to
be Places of Confinement)
(Amendment) Notification 2014

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 4(1) of the Prisons Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1. This Notification may be cited as the Prisons (Appointment of Lock-ups to be Places of Confinement) (Amendment) Notification 2014 and shall come into operation on 7th March 2014.

Amendment of paragraph 2

2. Paragraph 2 of the Prisons (Appointment of Lock-ups to be Places of Confinement) Notification 2011 (G.N. No. S 594/2011) is amended —

(a)	by deleting the words “Subordinate Court” in sub‑paragraph (b) and substituting the words “State Courts”; and
(b)	by deleting the words “Subordinate Courts” in sub‑paragraph (c) and substituting the words “State Courts”.
