Road Traffic Act
(Chapter 276)
Road Traffic (Expressway Traffic) (Amendment) Rules 1999
In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 114 and 140 of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Rules:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Rules may be cited as the Road Traffic (Expressway Traffic) (Amendment) Rules 1999 and shall come into operation on 12th July 1999.
Amendment of Second Schedule
2.  The Second Schedule to the Road Traffic (Expressway Traffic) Rules (R 23) is amended —
(a)by deleting paragraph 1 and substituting the following paragraph:
1.  That length of the expressway known as the Pan Island Expressway (referred to in this Schedule as PIE) which extends from its interchange at Ayer Rajah Expressway in a general easterly direction past the —
(a)PIE/Pasir Laba Flyover;
(b)PIE/Nanyang Flyover;
(c)PIE/Bahar Flyover;
(d)PIE/Tengah Flyover;
(e)PIE/Hong Kah Flyover;
(f)PIE/Bukit Batok Flyover;
(g)PIE/Toh Tuck Flyover;
(h)PIE/Anak Bukit Flyover;
(i)PIE/Chantek Flyover;
(j)PIE/Eng Neo Flyover;
(k)PIE/Adam Flyover;
(l)PIE/Mount Pleasant Flyover;
(m)PIE/Thomson Flyover;
(n)PIE/Toa Payoh South Flyover;
(o)PIE/Whampoa Flyover;
(p)PIE/Woodsville Flyover;
(q)PIE/Aljunied Flyover;
(r)PIE/Paya Lebar Flyover;
(s)PIE/Eunos Flyover;
(t)PIE/Bedok North Flyover;
(u)PIE/Tampines South Flyover;
(v)PIE/Upper Changi Flyover,
to its interchange with the East Coast Parkway, a distance of approximately 42,500 metres.”; and
(b)by deleting paragraph 6 and substituting the following paragraph:
6.  That length of the Expressway known as Tampines Expressway (referred to in this Schedule as TPE) which extends from its interchange with Pan Island Expressway in a general north westward direction past the —
(a)TPE/Loyang Flyover;
(b)TPE/Tampines Avenue 12 Interchange;
(c)TPE/Tampines Avenue 10 Interchange;
(d)TPE/Tampines Flyover;
(e)TPE/Punggol Flyover;
(f)TPE/Jalan Kayu Flyover,
to its interchange with the Seletar Expressway, a distance of approximately 14,600 metres.”.
