Appointment of Competent Authority

The Minister for National Development hereby appoints the Chief Planner of the Urban Redevelopment Authority established under the Urban Redevelopment Authority Act (Cap. 340) to be the competent authority responsible for the operation of all the provisions of the Act and any rules made thereunder, and hereby directs that the Chief Planner, in the exercise of his responsibilities as the competent authority, shall act in consultation with any committee or committees appointed from time to time by the Minister.
