Work Injury Compensation Act

*  The Workmen’s Compensation (Fees) Regulations were originally made under section 36(1) and (2)(e) of the 1998 Revised Edition of the Workmen’s Compensation Act (Cap. 354). The Act was renamed the Work Injury Compensation Act and section 36 was replaced by new section 45 with effect from 1st April 2008 by Act 5/2008. The Workmen’s Compensation (Fees) Regulations were amended and renamed the Work Injury Compensation (Fees) Regulations with effect from 1st April 2008 by S 170/2008. Section 41(5) of Act 5/2008 provided that these Regulations, so far as they are not inconsistent with the provisions of the Act as amended, continue in force until they are revoked or repealed by subsidiary legislation made under the Act as amended by section 22 of Act 5/2008.

Citation
1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Work Injury Compensation (Fees) Regulations.
Fees
2.  Subject to regulation 3, there shall be payable to the Commissioner, in respect of the matters specified in the first column of the Schedule, the fees specified opposite thereto in the second column thereof.
Exemption
3.  No fee shall be leviable for any medical report that is attached to the notice of assessment of compensation issued by the Commissioner under section 24 of the Act.
