5.—(1) The Authority may grant the following classes of licences:
(a)
telecommunication wiring installer’s licence; and
(b)
telecommunication wiring contractor’s licence.
(2) No person other than the holder of a telecommunication wiring installer’s licence shall —
(a)
perform or carry out personally any telecommunication wiring work or offer or undertake to perform or carry out any such work; or
(b)
advertise or otherwise hold himself out as a telecommunication wiring installer or as a person competent or qualified or legally permitted personally to perform or carry out telecommunication wiring work.
(3) No person other than the holder of a telecommunication wiring contractor’s licence shall —
(a)
carry on any trade or business as a telecommunication wiring contractor or cause or arrange for any telecommunication wiring work to be performed or carried out or offer or undertake to perform or carry out such work; or
(b)
advertise or otherwise hold himself out as a telecommunication wiring contractor.
(4) Paragraphs (2) and (3) shall not apply to any person who performs or carries out any telecommunication wiring work in his own premises which is done in accordance with the Code of Practice.
