Women’s Charter (Parenting Programme)
(Amendment) Rules 2018
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 180(1) of the Women’s Charter, the Minister for Social and Family Development makes the following Rules:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Rules are the Women’s Charter (Parenting Programme) (Amendment) Rules 2018 and come into operation on 21 January 2018.
Amendment of rule 3
2.  Rule 3 of the Women’s Charter (Parenting Programme) Rules 2016 (G.N. No. S 565/2016) is amended by deleting “14” in paragraph (b) and substituting “21”.
Saving provision
3.  Despite rule 2, rule 3 of the Women’s Charter (Parenting Programme) Rules 2016 as in force immediately before 21 January 2018 continues to apply, as if rule 2 had not been enacted —
(a)to any writ for divorce that is filed in the court before 21 January 2018;
(b)to any counterclaim in proceedings for divorce where the writ for divorce is filed in the court before 21 January 2018; and
(c)to any party to a marriage who is a plaintiff or defendant in proceedings for divorce where the writ for divorce is filed in the court before 21 January 2018.
