Maintenance of Parents
(Amendment) Rules 2020

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 21 of the Maintenance of Parents Act, the Minister for Social and Family Development makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules are the Maintenance of Parents (Amendment) Rules 2020 and come into operation on 2 January 2021.

Miscellaneous amendments

2. The Maintenance of Parents Rules (R 1) are amended —

(a)

by deleting the words “High Court” in the following provisions and substituting in each case the words “General Division of the High Court”:

Rules 15 and 18(a), (b), (c) and (d); and

(b)

by deleting the words “to the Court of Appeal” in the following provision:

Rule 18(d).
