Employment Claims
(Amendment) Rules 2020

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 33 of the Employment Claims Act 2016, we, the Rules Committee, make the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules are the Employment Claims (Amendment) Rules 2020 and come into operation on 2 January 2021.

Miscellaneous amendments

2. The Employment Claims Rules 2017 (G.N. No. S 104/2017) are amended —

(a)

by deleting the words “High Court” wherever they appear in the following provisions and substituting in each case the words “General Division of the High Court”:

Rule 2(2)(b)

Rule 28(3)

Rule 30(4) and (6)

Rule 31(3) and (5)

Rule 32(5)

Rule 33

Rule 34

Rule 35(3)

Rule 48(3);

(b)

by deleting the words “HIGH COURT” in the following provision and substituting the words “GENERAL DIVISION OF HIGH COURT”:

Part 7 (Part heading); and

(c)

by deleting the words “High Court” in the following provision and substituting the words “General Division of High Court”:

Rule 26 (rule heading).
