Employment of Foreign Manpower (Work Pass
Exemptions for Seamen and Full-time Students)
(Amendment) Notification 2018

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 of the Employment of Foreign Manpower Act, the Minister for Manpower makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1. This Notification is the Employment of Foreign Manpower (Work Pass Exemptions for Seamen and Full-time Students) (Amendment) Notification 2018 and comes into operation on 1 March 2018.

Amendment of Part I of Schedule

2. Part I of the Schedule to the Employment of Foreign Manpower (Work Pass Exemptions for Seamen and Full‑time Students) Notification (N 2) is amended —

(a)

by deleting item 13 and substituting the following item:

“13.	The Japanese School Singapore”;

(b)

by deleting item 22 and substituting the following item:

“22.	Nexus International School (Singapore)”;

(c)

by deleting item 25 and substituting the following item:

“25.	Waseda Shibuya Senior High School in Singapore”;

(d)

by deleting item 29 and substituting the following item:

“29.	Swiss School in Singapore”;

(e)

by deleting item 35 and substituting the following item:

“35.	Singapore University of Social Sciences”;

(f)

by deleting items 37 and 38;

(g)

by deleting item 44 and substituting the following item:

“44.	German Institute of Science and Technology – TUM Asia”; and

(h)

by deleting item 49 and substituting the following item:

“49.	Sorbonne‑Assas International Law School – Asia”.

Amendment of Part II of Schedule

3. Part II of the Schedule to the Employment of Foreign Manpower (Work Pass Exemptions for Seamen and Full‑time Students) Notification is amended —

(a)

by deleting item 14 and substituting the following item:

“14.	Singapore University of Social Sciences”;

(b)

by deleting items 16 and 17;

(c)

by deleting item 21 and substituting the following item:

“21.	German Institute of Science and Technology – TUM Asia”; and

(d)

by deleting item 24 and substituting the following item:

“24.	Sorbonne‑Assas International Law School – Asia”.
