Interpretation
(Delegation of Powers — Ministry of Law)
(Amendment) Notification 2019
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 36(1) of the Interpretation Act, the Minister for Law, with the approval of the President, makes the following Notification:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Notification is the Interpretation (Delegation of Powers — Ministry of Law) (Amendment) Notification 2019 and comes into operation on 1 April 2019.
Amendment of Schedule
2.  The Schedule to the Interpretation (Delegation of Powers —Ministry of Law) (No. 3) Notification 2011 (G.N. No. S 580/2011) is amended —
(a)by inserting, immediately after paragraph (g) in the second column of item 1, the following paragraph:
“(h)Section 17(4) of the Geographical Indications Act 2014 (Act 19 of 2014) in respect only of the appointment of the Registrar of Geographical Indications.”; and
(b)by inserting, immediately after paragraph (d) in the second column of item 3, the following paragraph:
“(e)Section 17(4) of the Geographical Indications Act 2014 (Act 19 of 2014) in respect only of the appointment of Deputy Registrars and Assistant Registrars of Geographical Indications.”.
