Road Traffic
(Electronic Road Pricing System)
(Exemption) (Amendment) Order 2017

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 142 of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Transport makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order is the Road Traffic (Electronic Road Pricing System) (Exemption) (Amendment) Order 2017 and comes into operation on 1 April 2017.

Amendment of paragraph 2

2. Paragraph 2 of the Road Traffic (Electronic Road Pricing System) (Exemption) Order (O 13) is amended —

(a)

by deleting the words “Part IA of the Act and any rules made thereunder shall not” and substituting the words “The Road Traffic (Electronic Road Pricing System) Rules 2015 (G.N. No. S 226/2015) (except rules 3, 4 and 7(1)(a) to (e) of, and the Second Schedule to, those Rules) do not”; and

(b)

by deleting sub‑paragraph (d) and substituting the following sub‑paragraph:

“(d)	any motor vehicle operated by the Singapore Civil Defence Force for use in a civil defence emergency (as defined in section 2 of the Civil Defence Act (Cap. 42));”.
