Work Injury Compensation
(Waiver from Insurance Requirement)
(Amendment) Notification 2020

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 23(1) of the Work Injury Compensation Act, the Minister for Manpower makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1. This Notification is the Work Injury Compensation (Waiver from Insurance Requirement) (Amendment) Notification 2020 and comes into operation on 1 April 2020.

Amendment of paragraph 2

2. Paragraph 2 of the Work Injury Compensation (Waiver from Insurance Requirement) Notification (N 3) is amended by deleting sub‑paragraph (b) and substituting the following sub‑paragraph:

“(b)

every employer of an employee —

(i)	who is employed otherwise than by way of manual labour; and
(ii)	whose salary within the meaning of the Employment Act (Cap. 91) received from the employer (excluding any overtime payment, bonus payment, annual wage supplement, productivity incentive payment and any allowance however described) exceeds $2,100 a month.”.
