Road Traffic (Traffic Signs) (Amendment) Rules 2007

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 119 of the Road Traffic Act, the Land Transport Authority of Singapore, with the approval of the Minister for Transport, hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Road Traffic (Traffic Signs) (Amendment) Rules 2007 and shall come into operation on 1st April 2007.

Amendment of rule 8

2. Rule 8 of the Road Traffic (Traffic Signs) Rules (R 33) is amended by deleting paragraph (1) and substituting the following paragraphs:

“(1) Except on any Saturday, Sunday or public holiday, no person shall drive a vehicle other than an omnibus, or cause or permit any such vehicle to remain, on a part-day bus lane during the hours of 7.30 a.m. to 9.30 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

(1A) Except on any Sunday or public holiday, no person shall drive a vehicle other than an omnibus, or cause or permit any such vehicle to remain, on a full-day bus lane during the hours of 7.30 a.m. to 8 p.m.”.

Amendment of Schedule

3. Part III of the Schedule to the Road Traffic (Traffic Signs) Rules is amended by deleting diagrams 114 and 114 (a) and substituting the following diagrams:
