Central Provident Fund (Workfare Income Supplement Scheme) (Amendment) Regulations 2008

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 57F of the Central Provident Fund Act, the Minister for Manpower hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Central Provident Fund (Workfare Income Supplement Scheme) (Amendment) Regulations 2008 and shall come into operation on 28th March 2008.

Amendment of regulation 2

2. The Central Provident Fund (Workfare Income Supplement Scheme) Regulations 2007 (G.N. No. S 717/2007) are amended by renumbering regulation 2 as paragraph (1) of that regulation, and by inserting immediately thereafter the following paragraph:

“(2) For the purposes of these Regulations —

(a)	a person shall be treated as having attained “the age of 35 years” or “35 years of age” on the thirty-fifth anniversary of the day of his birth;
(b)	a person shall be treated as having attained 45, 55 or 60 years of age on the forty-fifth, fifty-fifth or sixtieth anniversary, respectively, of the day of his birth.”.
