(Chapter 3)
Muslim Marriage and Divorce (Amendment) Rules 2000
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 145 of the Administration of Muslim Law Act, the President of Singapore hereby makes the following Rules:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Rules may be cited as the Muslim Marriage and Divorce (Amendment) Rules 2000 and shall come into operation on 1st April 2000.
Amendment of Third Schedule
2.  Part I of the Third Schedule to the Muslim Marriage and Divorce Rules 1999 (G.N. No. S 331/99) is amended —
(a)by deleting “$37” in item 1 and substituting “$39”;
(b)by deleting “$24” in item 2 and substituting “$26”;
(c)by deleting “$27” in item 6 and substituting “$29”;
(d)by deleting item 7 and substituting the following item:
“7.Search of Register:
 
(a)Syariah Court

(b)Registry of Muslim Marriages
$16”;
(e)by deleting “$37” in item 8 and substituting “$39”;
(f)by deleting “$10” in item 10 and substituting “$12”;
(g)by deleting “$10” in item 11 and substituting “$12”;
(h)by deleting “$10” in item 12 and substituting “$12”;
(i)by deleting ‘‘$19” in item 13 and substituting “$20”;
(j)by deleting “$10” in item 14 and substituting “$12”;
(k)by deleting “$72” in item 15 and substituting “$75”;
(l)by deleting “$18” in item 16 and substituting “$19”;
(m)by deleting “$29” in item 19 and substituting “$30”; and
(n)by inserting, immediately after item 22, the following items:
“23.Appeal against the registrar’s decision under rule 38 (2)

24.Issue of a certificate of attendance under rule 17 (5)
