(Exemption from Prohibition against Dealing)
(No. 3) Order 2017
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 7(1) of the Terrorism (Suppression of Financing) Act, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Order is the Terrorism (Suppression of Financing) (Exemption from Prohibition against Dealing) (No. 3) Order 2017 and comes into operation on 18 April 2017.
Exemption
2.—(1)  Zulfikar bin Mohamad Shariff (Singapore citizen) (Date of Birth: 28 September 1971) (called in this paragraph Zulfikar) and Standard Chartered Bank (Singapore) Ltd (called in this paragraph Standard Chartered Bank) are exempted from the application of section 6 of the Act in respect of —
(a)the sale and transfer of registration as owner, or the de‑registration and disposal, of a motor car bearing registration number SJG 9769B; and
(b)the utilisation of the proceeds of sale of the motor car in sub‑paragraph (a), or the utilisation of the benefit of any rebate granted by the Land Transport Authority of Singapore under rule 8(4) of the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Registration and Licensing) Rules (Cap. 276, R 5) upon the de‑registration of that motor car, for the payment of all sums owed by Zulfikar to Standard Chartered Bank under the hire‑purchase agreement account number 7910790563 with Standard Chartered Bank.
(2)  The exemption in sub-paragraph (1) is subject to the condition that any balance amount, after utilising any proceeds of sale or the benefit of any rebate for the payment of such sum as mentioned in sub‑paragraph (1)(b), is to be deposited into the hire‑purchase agreement account.
(3)  The Land Transport Authority of Singapore is exempted from the application of section 6 of the Act in respect of the sale and transfer of registration as owner, or the de‑registration and disposal, of the motor car in sub‑paragraph (1)(a).
