(Helmet Exemption)
(Amendment) Order 2024
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 142 of the Road Traffic Act 1961, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Order is the Road Traffic (Helmet Exemption) (Amendment) Order 2024 and comes into operation on 1 March 2024.
Amendment of paragraph 2
2.  In the Road Traffic (Helmet Exemption) Order 2005 (G.N. No. S 410/2005) —
(a)renumber paragraph 2 as sub‑paragraph (1) of that paragraph;
(b)in paragraph 2(1), replace “(Bicycles)” with “(Bicycles, Three‑wheeled Pedal Cycles, Trishaws and Recumbent Devices — Road Conduct)”;
(c)in paragraph 2(1), after “on a bicycle”, insert “, three‑wheeled pedal cycle, recumbent device”; and
(d)in paragraph 2, after sub‑paragraph (1), insert —
(2)  In this Order, “recumbent device” and “three‑wheeled pedal cycle” have the meanings given by rule 2 of the Road Traffic (Bicycles, Three‑wheeled Pedal Cycles, Trishaws and Recumbent Devices — Construction and Use) Rules 2024 (G.N. No. S 157/2024).”.
