Pingat Pentadbiran Awam
(The Public Administration Medal)
(Amendment) Rules 2017

The President makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules are the Pingat Pentadbiran Awam (The Public Administration Medal) (Amendment) Rules 2017 and come into operation on 13 January 2017.

Amendment of rule 4

2. Rule 4 of the Pingat Pentadbiran Awam (The Public Administration Medal) Rules 1996 (G.N. No. S 334/96) is amended —

(a)

by deleting the word “or” at the end of paragraph (c); and

(b)

by deleting the full-stop at the end of paragraph (d) and substituting a semi‑colon, and by inserting immediately thereafter the following paragraph:

“(e)	any person who is or has been employed as a member of the personal staff of the President.”.

Deletion and substitution of rule 10

3. Rule 10 of the Pingat Pentadbiran Awam (The Public Administration Medal) Rules 1996 is deleted and the following rule substituted therefor:

“10. The President may forfeit any Medal or Bar awarded to any person under these Rules if —

(a)	the person is convicted of a criminal offence;
(b)	the person is dismissed from the public service or any form of service or employment mentioned in rule 4(b), (c), (d) or (e); or
(c)	the person is guilty of misconduct or disloyalty to Singapore.”.
