Road Traffic (Amendment No. 2) Rules 2017

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 140 of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Transport makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules are the Road Traffic (Amendment No. 2) Rules 2017 and come into operation on 22 April 2017.

Amendment of rule 22

2. Rule 22 of the Road Traffic Rules (R 20) is amended —

(a)

by deleting the word “and” at the end of paragraph (i); and

(b)

by deleting the full‑stop at the end of paragraph (j) and substituting the word “; and”, and by inserting immediately thereafter the following paragraph:

“(k)	along the length of any road starting from the point where red transverse lines of not less than 1,000 mm in width are laid down perpendicular to the edge of the road, to the point those lines end.”.
