Terrorism (Suppression of Financing) Act
(Amendment of First Schedule)
Order 2020
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 38(a) of the Terrorism (Suppression of Financing) Act, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Order is the Terrorism (Suppression of Financing) Act (Amendment of First Schedule) Order 2020 and comes into operation on 23 March 2020.
Amendment of First Schedule
2.  The First Schedule to the Terrorism (Suppression of Financing) Act is amended —
(a)by inserting, immediately before the words “the Al‑Qaida organization” in paragraph 1, the words “ISIL (Da’esh) or”;
(b)by deleting the words “Al‑Qaida List” in paragraph 1 and substituting the words “ISIL (Da’esh) and Al‑Qaida Sanctions List”;
(c)by deleting the definition of “1267 Committee” in paragraph 2 and substituting the following definition:
“ “1267/1989/2253 ISIL (Da’esh) and Al‑Qaida Sanctions Committee” means the committee established pursuant to Resolution 1267 (1999);”;
(d)by deleting the definition of “Al‑Qaida List” in paragraph 2 and substituting the following definition:
“ “ISIL (Da’esh) and Al‑Qaida Sanctions List” means the List of individuals and entities belonging to or associated with ISIL (Da’esh) or the Al‑Qaida organization, established and maintained by the 1267/1989/2253 ISIL (Da’esh) and Al‑Qaida Sanctions Committee pursuant to Resolutions 1267 (1999), 1989 (2011) and 2253 (2015), which is updated from time to time by that Committee, and made available on the Internet through the official United Nations website at http://www.un.org/;”; and
(e)by inserting, immediately after the definition of “Resolution 1989 (2011)” in paragraph 2, the following definition:
“ “Resolution 2253 (2015)” means Resolution 2253 (2015) of the Security Council of the United Nations concerning ISIL (Da’esh) and Al‑Qaida, and associated individuals and entities;”.
