Housing and Development (Penalties for Late Payment — Markets and Food Centres) (Amendment) Rules 2008
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 27(2) of the Housing and Development Act, the Housing and Development Board, with the approval of the Minister for National Development, hereby makes the following Rules:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Rules may be cited as the Housing and Development (Penalties for Late Payment — Markets and Food Centres) (Amendment) Rules 2008 and shall come into operation on 1st April 2008.
Amendment of rule 2
2.  Rule 2 of the Housing and Development (Penalties for Late Payment — Markets and Food Centres) Rules 2007 (G.N. No. S 185/2007) is amended by deleting the definition of “amount” and substituting the following definition:
“ “amount” means any rent, licence fee, service and conservancy charge, table cleaning charge or such other charge payable under an agreement or any goods and services tax payable in respect thereof;”.
Amendment of rule 4
3.  Rule 4(2) of the Housing and Development (Penalties for Late Payment — Markets and Food Centres) Rules 2007 is amended by deleting the words “that is 1% above such rate” in sub-paragraph (b).
