MediShield Life Scheme
(Amendment) Regulations 2019

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 34 of the MediShield Life Scheme Act 2015, the Minister for Health makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations are the MediShield Life Scheme (Amendment) Regulations 2019 and come into operation on 1 April 2019.

Amendment of Third Schedule

2. The Third Schedule to the MediShield Life Scheme Regulations 2015 (G.N. No. S 622/2015) is amended —

(a)

by deleting the words “pregnancy, childbirth (including caesarean delivery), abortion or” in paragraph 1(a); and

(b)

by inserting, immediately after paragraph 16, the following paragraphs:

“17. Treatment for or in respect of pregnancy, childbirth (including caesarean delivery) or abortion, except treatment for serious complications related to pregnancy and childbirth.

18. Delivery procedure for childbirth (including caesarean delivery), except caesarean hysterectomy.”.
