(Rates and Charges) (Amendment)
Regulations 2015
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24(1) of the Singapore Sports Council Act, the Singapore Sports Council, with the approval of the Minister for Culture, Community and Youth, makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Singapore Sports Council (Rates and Charges) (Amendment) Regulations 2015 and come into operation on 1 May 2015.
Deletion and substitution of Schedule
2.  The Schedule to the Singapore Sports Council (Rates and Charges) Regulations 2013 (G.N. No. S 180/2013) is deleted and the following Schedule substituted therefor:

Part 5
MISCELLANEOUS
1.  In this Schedule —
“Adult” means any person who is 18 years of age or above and below the age of 55 years;
“Child” means any person who is below the age of 18 years;
“junior college” means an institution for providing full‑time pre‑university education, and includes any centralised institute or school which provides pre‑university education;
“national school” means —
(a)a school which is organised and conducted directly by the Government;
(b)a school which is in receipt of grant-in-aid under the Education (Grant-in-Aid) Regulations (Cap. 87, Rg 3); or
(c)a school which is named in any order made under section 3(1) of the School Boards (Incorporation) Act (Cap. 284A);
“Non-peak hours” means the hours between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays, excluding Public Holidays;
“Other Concession” means the concessionary rates granted to any Constituency Sports Club and any other organisation approved by the Singapore Sports Council;
“Peak hours” means the hours between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays, and between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays;
“permanent resident” means any person who is granted an entry permit under section 10 of the Immigration Act (Cap. 133) or a re‑entry permit under section 11 of that Act, which allows the person to remain in Singapore indefinitely without restriction;
“School Concession” means the concessionary rates granted to any national school or junior college;
“Senior Citizen” means any person who is 55 years of age or above;
“Senior Citizen Family Concession” means the concessionary rates granted to a Senior Citizen and any of his accompanying immediate family members who uses the facility specified below together with the Senior Citizen during the day and time specified against that facility —

“Singapore Citizen/Permanent Resident” means any citizen of Singapore or permanent resident;
“Stadium” does not include the National Stadium;
“Student” means any person who is 12 years of age or above and below the age of 18 years.
2.  The charges specified in this Schedule are inclusive of the goods and services tax chargeable under the Goods and Services Tax Act (Cap. 117A).
3.  For events with gate collection, the charges are at the rate specified in this Schedule for the event or 20% levy on the gross gate collection, whichever is the higher. Where the charges are based on 20% of the gross gate collection, such charges are exclusive of the goods and services tax chargeable under the Goods and Services Tax Act.”.
