House to House and
Street Collections
(Amendment) Regulations 2017
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the House to House and Street Collections Act, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations are the House to House and Street Collections (Amendment) Regulations 2017 and come into operation on 30 June 2017.
Amendment of regulation 12
2.  Regulation 12 of the House to House and Street Collections Regulations (Rg 1) is amended by deleting the words “2 months of” and substituting the words “60 days after”.
Amendment of regulation 13
3.  Regulation 13 of the House to House and Street Collections Regulations is amended —
(a)by deleting “$5,000” in paragraph (a)(i) and substituting “$10,000”; and
(b)by deleting sub‑paragraph (ii) of paragraph (a) and substituting the following sub‑paragraph:
(ii)where the total amount of money collected, including the proceeds derived from the sale of property does not exceed $10,000, be certified by an independent person who is from among persons whom the Commissioner of Police determines to have the requisite ability and practical experience to carry out a competent examination, and who is appointed by the organisation of the chief promoter to be the auditor of the account; and”.
