(32^nd ASEAN Summit)
Declaration 2018

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 21, read with section 21A, of the Public Order Act, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Declaration:

Citation

1. This Declaration is the Public Order (32^nd ASEAN Summit) Declaration 2018.

32^nd ASEAN Summit is special event

2. The event known as the 32^nd ASEAN Summit, taking place at the following locations and periods, is declared a special event for the purposes of Part III of the Act:

(a)	The Istana for the whole of 27 April 2018;
(b)	Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore for the whole of 28 April 2018.

Special event areas

3.—(1) The special event areas for the 32^nd ASEAN Summit are the areas around The Istana and Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore, described in the First and Second Schedules, respectively.

(2) However, any land that is not a public place is not part of the special event areas.

Period of special event

4. The Declaration is in force —

(a)	for the 32^nd ASEAN Summit held at The Istana on 27 April 2018, for the whole of 27 April 2018 only; and
(b)	for the 32^nd ASEAN Summit held at Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore on 28 April 2018, for the whole of 28 April 2018 only.
