Massage Establishments Act 2017
(ACT 45 OF 2017)
Massage Establishments (Amendment) Rules 2020
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 35(1) of the Massage Establishments Act 2017, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Rules:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Rules are the Massage Establishments (Amendment) Rules 2020 and come into operation on 1 April 2020.
Amendment of rule 3
2.  Rule 3 of the Massage Establishments Rules 2018 (G.N. No. S 96/2018) (called in these Rules the principal Rules) is amended by deleting “https://www.police.gov.sg/e-services/apply/licenses-and-permits/massage-establishment” and substituting “http://www.police.gov.sg/e-Services/Police-Licences/Massage-Establishment-Licence”.
Amendment of rule 4
3.  Rule 4 of the principal Rules is amended by deleting paragraph (1) and substituting the following paragraph:
(1)  For the purposes of section 7(1)(a) of the Act, the licence fee for a licence is as follows:
(a)$290 for one year;
(b)$440 for 2 years;
(c)$590 for 3 years.”.
Deletion and substitution of rule 19
4.  Rule 19 of the principal Rules is deleted and the following rule substituted therefor:
Fee
19.—(1)  Any fee mentioned in rule 4(1) or (2), 7(4) or 11(4) is not refundable.
(2)  The Licensing Officer may, in an appropriate case, waive any fee payable under these Rules.”.
