Public Service
(Disciplinary Proceedings)
(Amendment) Regulations 2013
In exercise of the powers conferred by Article 116(1) of the Constitution of the Republic of Singapore, the President hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Public Service (Disciplinary Proceedings) (Amendment) Regulations 2013 and shall be deemed to have come into operation on 1st February 2013.
Amendment of regulation 2
2.  Regulation 2 of the Public Service (Disciplinary Proceedings) Regulations (Rg 1) is amended by inserting, immediately after the words “the Registrar of the Supreme Court,” in the definition of “Permanent Secretary”, the words “the Chief Executive, Judiciary Administration and Operations of the Supreme Court,”.
Deletion and substitution of regulation 14
3.  Regulation 14 of the Public Service (Disciplinary Proceedings) Regulations is deleted and the following regulation substituted therefor:
Application to Legal Service Officers and officers in Supreme Court
14.—(1)  In the application of these Regulations to an officer in the Singapore Legal Service —
(a)the reference to the Public Service Commission shall be read as a reference to the Legal Service Commission; and
(b)in the case of such an officer holding a post in the Supreme Court, the reference to the Permanent Secretary shall exclude a reference to the Chief Executive, Judiciary Administration and Operations of the Supreme Court.
(2)  In the application of these Regulations to a public officer holding a post in the Supreme Court other than an officer referred to in paragraph (1), the reference to the Permanent Secretary shall exclude a reference to the Registrar of the Supreme Court.”.
