Bus Services Industry (Bus Service Licence)
(Amendment) Regulations 2016
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 49 of the Bus Services Industry Act 2015, the Land Transport Authority of Singapore, with the approval of the Minister for Transport, makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations are the Bus Services Industry (Bus Service Licence) (Amendment) Regulations 2016 and come into operation on 16 May 2016.
Amendment of regulation 4
2.  Regulation 4(1) of the Bus Services Industry (Bus Service Licence) Regulations 2016 (G.N. No. S 33/2016) (called in these Regulations the principal Regulations) is amended by inserting, immediately after the words “must be made”, the words “no later than 2 months”.
New regulation 6A
3.  The principal Regulations are amended by inserting, immediately after regulation 6, the following regulation:
Replacement of bus service licence
6A.—(1)  If a bus service licence is lost, destroyed, damaged, or is damaged to the extent that any part of the licence is illegible or altered by fading, discolouration or otherwise, the holder of the licence may apply to the LTA for a replacement licence.
(2)  An application for a replacement licence must be made in the form and manner required by the LTA.
(3)  The LTA may on receipt of an application for a replacement licence issue a replacement licence on payment of a fee of $10.70.”.
Amendment of First Schedule
4.  The First Schedule to the principal Regulations is amended by deleting item 1 and substituting the following item:
“1.Class 1 bus service licence
For each public bus services contract for the provision of regular route services that the licence authorises to be operated during the whole or part of any of the following years:
 
  (a) 2016
$39,200 (to be pro‑rated on a daily basis if less than a year)
 
  (b) 2017
$34,100 (to be pro‑rated on a daily basis if less than a year)
 
  (c) 2018
$35,600 (to be pro‑rated on a daily basis if less than a year)
 
  (d) 2019
$37,300 (to be pro‑rated on a daily basis if less than a year)
 
  (e) 2020
$39,200 (to be pro‑rated on a daily basis if less than a year)
 
  (f) 2021
$40,900 (to be pro‑rated on a daily basis if less than a year)
 
  (g) 2022
$42,900 (to be pro‑rated on a daily basis if less than a year)
 
  (h) 2023
$45,100 (to be pro‑rated on a daily basis if less than a year)
 
  (i) 2024
$47,300 (to be pro‑rated on a daily basis if less than a year)
 
  (j) 2025
$49,700 (to be pro‑rated on a daily basis if less than a year)
 
  (k) 2026
$52,200 (to be pro‑rated on a daily basis if less than a year).”.
Transitional
5.  If an application for a bus service licence made in accordance with the principal Regulations is pending before 16 May 2016, that application must be dealt with under the principal Regulations as if these Regulations had not been enacted.
