(Exemption) (No. 27)
Notification 2016

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24 of the Common Gaming Houses Act, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Notification:

Citation

1. This Notification is the Common Gaming Houses (Exemption) (No. 27) Notification 2016.

Definition

2. In this Notification, “organisers” means —

(a)	the Moulmein-Cairnhill Active Ageing Committee;
(b)	the Pek Kio Community Centre Senior Citizens’ Executive Committee;
(c)	the Cairnhill Community Club Senior Citizens’ Executive Committee; and
(d)	the Tanglin Community Club Senior Citizens’ Executive Committee.

Exemption

3.—(1) The Minister exempts the organisers from the provisions of the Act in respect of —

(a)	the “Moulmein-Cairnhill AAC Elderlympic Mind Games Challenges” promotion to be held from 20 May 2016 to 10 July 2016 (both dates inclusive); and
(b)	the mahjong games to be held at the multi-purpose hall of Cairnhill Community Club from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on 10 July 2016.

(2) The exemption is subject to compliance by the organisers with the conditions specified in the Schedule.
