Road Traffic (Composition of Offences) (Amendment) Rules 2003

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 135(2) of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Transport hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Road Traffic (Composition of Offences) (Amendment) Rules 2003 and shall come into operation on 5th May 2003.

Amendment of rule 3

2. Rule 3(1) of the Road Traffic (Composition of Offences) Rules (R 29) is amended —

(a)

by deleting the word “and” at the end of sub-paragraph (a); and

(b)

by deleting the full-stop at the end of sub-paragraph (b) and substituting the word “; or”, and by inserting immediately thereafter the following sub-paragraph:

“(c)	by cash, cheque, money order or postal order to a person authorised by the Authority to collect such payment or by an electronic fund transfer system to a bank account so designated by the Authority, who shall account for and issue a receipt for such payment.”.
