Casino Control (Exemption for
National Council on Problem
Gambling) (Amendment) Order 2018

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 198 of the Casino Control Act, the Casino Regulatory Authority of Singapore, with the approval of the Minister for Home Affairs, makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order is the Casino Control (Exemption for National Council on Problem Gambling) (Amendment) Order 2018 and comes into operation on 1 May 2018.

Amendment of paragraph 2

2. Paragraph 2 of the Casino Control (Exemption for National Council on Problem Gambling) Order 2016 (G.N. No. S 477/2016) is amended —

(a)

by inserting, immediately after the definition of “exempt operator”, the following definition:

“ “fruit machine” has the same meaning as in section 2 of the Private Lotteries Act (Cap. 250);”; and

(b)

by inserting, immediately after the definition of “officer”, the following definition:

“ “permit holder” means the holder of a permit granted under the Private Lotteries Act allowing the holder to operate one or more fruit machines;”.

Amendment of paragraph 3

3. Paragraph 3 of the Casino Control (Exemption for National Council on Problem Gambling) Order 2016 is amended —

(a)	by inserting, immediately after the words “an exempt operator”, the words “or a permit holder”; and
(b)	by inserting, immediately after the words “the exempt operator” in sub‑paragraph (a), the words “or the permit holder, as the case may be”.
