Merchant Shipping Act
(Chapter 179)
Merchant Shipping (Safety Convention) (Amendment) Regulations 1997
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 100 of the Merchant Shipping Act, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, with the approval of the Minister for Communications, hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Merchant Shipping (Safety Convention) (Amendment) Regulations 1997 and shall come into operation on 9th May 1997.
Amendment of First Schedule
2.  The First Schedule to the Merchant Shipping (Safety Convention) Regulations (Rg 11) is amended by deleting the following Forms:
(a)Form of Safety Certificate for Passenger Ships;
(b)Form of Safety Construction Certificate for Cargo Ships;
(c)Form of Safety Equipment Certificate for Cargo Ships;
(d)Form of Safety Radio Certificate for Cargo Ships;
(e)Form of Exemption Certificate;
(f)Form of Safety Certificate for Nuclear Passenger Ships; and
(g)Form of Safety Certificate for Nuclear Cargo Ships,
and substituting the following forms, respectively:

Made this 26th day of April 1997.
