Passports (Amendment) Regulations 1999
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Passports Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Passports (Amendment) Regulations 1999 and shall come into operation on 25th January 1999.
Amendment of regulation 9
2.  Regulation 9 of the Passports Regulations (Rg 1) is amended —
(a)by deleting the words “so defaced that any particulars thereon is no longer legible” in paragraph (1) and substituting the word “damaged”; and
(b)by inserting, immediately after the words “is lost” in paragraph (5), the words “or damaged”.
Amendment of First Schedule
3.  The First Schedule to the Passports Regulations is amended by inserting, immediately after the word “lost” in paragraph 1 (b) and (ga), the words “or damaged”.
