Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Authorisation
of Special Types) (Amendment) Notification 1998

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the Road Traffic Act, the Land Transport Authority of Singapore hereby makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1. This Notification may be cited as the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Authorisation of Special Types) (Amendment) Notification 1998 and shall come into operation on 24th April 1998.

Amendment of paragraph 7

2. Paragraph 7 of the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Authorisation of Special Types) Notification (N 1) (referred to in this Notification as the principal Notification) is amended by deleting the words “Part II” in the sixth line and substituting the words “Part I”.

Amendment of paragraph 8

3. Paragraph 8 of the principal Notification is amended by deleting sub-paragraph (1) and substituting the following sub-paragraph:

“(1) Paragraph 7 shall not apply to —

(a)	the owner of a trailer transporting an ISO standard container; and
(b)	the owner of the types of vehicles shown in Part II.”.

Amendment of Schedule

4. The Schedule to the principal Notification is amended by deleting the words “PART II” in the heading and substituting the words “PART I”, and by inserting immediately thereafter the following Part:
