Presidential Elections
(Composition of Offences)
(Amendment) Regulations 2017
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 84(2) of the Presidential Elections Act, the Prime Minister makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations are the Presidential Elections (Composition of Offences) (Amendment) Regulations 2017 and come into operation on 1 June 2017.
Amendment of regulation 2
2.  Regulation 2 of the Presidential Elections (Composition of Offences) Regulations 2005 (G.N. No. S 503/2005) is amended —
(a)by deleting “42(1)(c),” in paragraph (a);
(b)by inserting, immediately after “60A(3),” in paragraph (a), “60B(2), 60C(2),”;
(c)by inserting, immediately after paragraph (a), the following paragraphs:
(aa)any corrupt practice under section 42(1)(c)(i) of the Act;
(ab)any corrupt practice under section 42(1)(c)(ii) of the Act read with regulation 1B of the Presidential Elections (Election Advertising) Regulations (Rg 3);
(ac)any offence under section 60AA(2) of the Act read with regulation 1C, 1D, 1E or 1F(2) of the Presidential Elections (Election Advertising) Regulations, as the case may be;”; and
(d)by deleting paragraph (c) and substituting the following paragraph:
(c)any offence under regulation 14A(1) or 16(a), (b) or (c) of the Presidential Elections (Election Advertising) Regulations.”.
