Parking Places (Coupon Parking)
(Amendment) Rules 2018

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 8 of the Parking Places Act, the Land Transport Authority of Singapore, with the approval of the Minister for Transport, makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules are the Parking Places (Coupon Parking) (Amendment) Rules 2018 and are deemed to have come into operation on 1 May 2018.

Amendment of rule 2

2. Rule 2 of the Parking Places (Coupon Parking) Rules (R 3) (called in these Rules the principal Rules) is amended by deleting the definition of “prescribed charge” and substituting the following definition:

“ “parking charge” means the parking charge fixed under section 9(1) of the Act.”.

Amendment of rule 3A

3. Rule 3A of the principal Rules is amended by deleting the word “prescribed” wherever it appears and substituting in each case the word “parking”.

Amendment of rule 15

4. Rule 15 of the principal Rules is amended by deleting the word “prescribed” wherever it appears and substituting in each case the word “parking”.

Miscellaneous amendments

5. The principal Rules are amended by deleting the word “prescribed” in rules 4(1)(a) and 13.
