Parking Places
(Digital Payment — Parking Charges)
(Amendment) Rules 2018

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 8 of the Parking Places Act, the Land Transport Authority of Singapore, with the approval of the Minister for Transport, makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules are the Parking Places (Digital Payment — Parking Charges) (Amendment) Rules 2018 and are deemed to have come into operation on 1 May 2018.

Amendment of rule 2

2. Rule 2 of the Parking Places (Digital Payment — Parking Charges) Rules 2017 (G.N. No. S 553/2017) is amended —

(a)

by deleting the word “prescribed” in the definition of “digital parking system application” or “DP app” and substituting the word “parking”; and

(b)

by deleting the definition of “prescribed charge” and substituting the following definition:

“ “parking charge” means the parking charge fixed under section 9(1) of the Act.”.

Miscellaneous amendments

3. The Parking Places (Digital Payment — Parking Charges) Rules 2017 are amended by deleting the word “prescribed” wherever it appears in rules 3(1) and 4(2) and substituting in each case the word “parking”.
