Road Traffic (Restriction of Speed on Roads) (Amendment) Notification 2007

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 63(2) of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1. This Notification may be cited as the Road Traffic (Restriction of Speed on Roads) (Amendment) Notification 2007 and shall come into operation on 23rd June 2007.

Amendment of Third Schedule

2. The Third Schedule to the Road Traffic (Restriction of Speed on Roads) Notification 2006 (G.N. No. S 729/2006) (referred to in this Notification as the principal Notification) is amended —

(a)

by deleting the item relating to “East Coast Parkway” and substituting the following item:

“East Coast Parkway — that part of East Coast Parkway —

“(a)	between lamp post No. V212 and lamp post No. V18, in the direction towards Changi Airport; and
(b)	between lamp post No. V63 and lamp post No. V201, in the direction towards Ayer Rajah Expressway.”; and

(b)

by inserting, immediately below the item relating to “Tampines Road”, the following item:

“Tampines Service Road — that part of Tampines Service Road between Defu Flyover and Tampines Flyover.”.

Amendment of Fourth Schedule

3. The Fourth Schedule to the principal Notification is amended by deleting the item relating to “East Coast Parkway” and substituting the following item:

“East Coast Parkway — that part of East Coast Parkway —

“(a)	between Shenton Way and lamp post No. V212, in the direction towards Changi Airport;
(b)	between lamp post No. V18 and lamp post No. 29, in the direction towards Changi Airport;
(c)	between lamp post No. V201 and Shenton Way, in the direction towards Ayer Rajah Expressway; and
(d)	between lamp post No. V3 and lamp post No. V63, in the direction towards Ayer Rajah Expressway.”.

Amendment of Fifth Schedule

4. The Fifth Schedule to the principal Notification is amended by deleting the item relating to “East Coast Parkway” and substituting the following item:

“East Coast Parkway — that part of East Coast Parkway —

“(a)	between lamp post No. 29 and its western end of Airport Boulevard, in the direction towards Changi Airport; and
(b)	between its western end of Airport Boulevard and lamp post No. V3, in the direction towards Ayer Rajah Expressway.”.
