(Disbursement of Moneys from Sinking Fund)
(Amendment) Rules 2014

In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 33(6)(a)(v) and 57 of the Town Councils Act, the Minister for National Development hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Town Councils (Disbursement of Moneys from Sinking Fund) (Amendment) Rules 2014 and shall come into operation on 11th April 2014.

Amendment of rule 3

2. Rule 3 of the Town Councils (Disbursement of Moneys from Sinking Fund) Rules (R 5) is amended —

(a)

by deleting the word “and” at the end of paragraph (h); and

(b)

by deleting the full-stop at the end of paragraph (i) and substituting a semi‑colon, and by inserting immediately thereafter the following paragraph:

“(j)	replacement of any standby generator set, fire control panel, fire pump, pressure tank or heat detector, of any fire-fighting and protection system installed in any commercial property, where the replacement works are commenced on or after 11th April 2014.”.
