Central Provident Fund
(Minimum Sum Topping-up Scheme)
(Amendment) Regulations 1996
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 77(1) of the Central Provident Fund Act, the Minister for Labour, after consultation with the Central Provident Fund Board, hereby makes the following Regulations:
1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Central Provident Fund (Minimum Sum Topping-Up Scheme) (Amendment) Regulations 1996 and shall come into operation on 1st July 1996.
2.  Regulation 3(3) of the Central Provident Fund (Minimum Sum Topping-Up Scheme) Regulations 1995 (referred to in these Regulations as the principal Regulations) is amended by deleting “$80,000” and “$8,000” and substituting “$90,000” and “$16,000”, respectively.

3.  Regulation 5 of the principal Regulations is amended —
(a)by deleting “$80,000” in the fourth line and substituting “$90,000”; and
(b)by deleting “$8,000” in paragraph (a) and substituting “$16,000”.
4.  The Second Schedule to the principal Regulations is deleted and the following Schedule substituted therefor:
