(Conduct of Gaming) (Amendment)
Regulations 2019

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 200 of the Casino Control Act, the Casino Regulatory Authority of Singapore, with the approval of the Minister for Home Affairs, makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations are the Casino Control (Conduct of Gaming) (Amendment) Regulations 2019 and come into operation on 4 April 2019.

Deletion and substitution of regulation 7

2. Regulation 7 of the Casino Control (Conduct of Gaming) Regulations 2009 (G.N. No. S 594/2009) (called in these Regulations the principal Regulations) is deleted and the following regulation substituted therefor:

“Transaction at cage

7. A casino operator who issues chips paid for in chips of another casino operator must do so only at a cage.”.

Amendment of regulation 18

3. Regulation 18 of the principal Regulations is amended —

(a)

by deleting the words “only in accordance with regulation 15(1) or (2)” in paragraph (3)(d) and substituting the words “if any of the circumstances mentioned in regulation 15(1) occurs”;

(b)

by inserting, immediately after paragraph (3), the following paragraph:

“(3A) Every licensed special employee authorised to conduct games must not declare a game void if none of the circumstances mentioned in regulation 15(1) or (2) occurs.”; and

(c)

by deleting the words “paragraph (2) or (3) or both” in paragraph (4)(b) and substituting the words “paragraphs (2), (3) and (3A)”.

Amendment of regulation 19

4. Regulation 19 of the principal Regulations is amended —

(a)	by deleting the words “in accordance with” in paragraph (f) and substituting the words “under any of the circumstances mentioned in”; and
(b)	by inserting, immediately after the word “regulation” in paragraph (g), “15(1),”.
