Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Seat Belts) (Amendment) Rules 2010

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 6 of the Road Traffic Act, the Land Transport Authority of Singapore hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Seat Belts) (Amendment) Rules 2010 and shall come into operation on 27th May 2010.

Amendment of rule 4

2. Rule 4(6) of the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Seat Belts) Rules (R 15) is amended by deleting sub-paragraph (a) and substituting the following sub-paragraphs:

“(a)

any motor vehicle owned by the Government for the purposes or use of —

(i)	the Singapore Police Force;
(ii)	the Singapore Civil Defence Force;
(iii)	any Auxiliary Police Force created by the Government;
(iv)	the Singapore Prison Service; or
(v)	the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority;

(aa)

any motor vehicle owned by an employer of an Auxiliary Police Force (other than the Government) for the purposes or use of that Auxiliary Police Force;”.
