Constitution of the Republic of Singapore
Public Service (Personnel Boards) (Amendment) Order 2003
In exercise of the powers conferred by Article 110D(1) and (2) of the Constitution of the Republic of Singapore, the President, on the advice of the Prime Minister, hereby makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.—(1)  This Order may be cited as the Public Service (Personnel Boards) (Amendment) Order 2003 and shall, with the exception of paragraphs 2(c) and 3(a) and (b), be deemed to have come into operation on 1st April 2003.
(2)  Paragraph 2(c) shall be deemed to have come into operation on 1st November 2001.
(3)  Paragraph 3(a) and (b) shall be deemed to have come into operation on 1st July 2002.
Amendment of paragraph 2
2.  Paragraph 2(1) of the Public Service (Personnel Boards) Order (O 3) is amended —
(a)by inserting, at the end of paragraph (a) of the definition of “General Services”, the word “and”;
(b)by deleting paragraphs (b) and (d) of the definition of “General Services” and substituting the following paragraph:
(b)the Immigration & Checkpoints Specialist Service;”; and
(c)by deleting paragraph (e) of the definition of “General Services”.
Amendment of Schedule
3.  The Schedule to the Public Service (Personnel Boards) Order is amended —
(a)by deleting the words “other than public officers referred to in item 8 or 9” in the second column of item 7;
(b)by deleting items 8 and 9;
(c)by deleting the words “Customs Service” in the second column of item 10 and substituting the words “Singapore Customs Service”;
(d)by deleting item 11 and substituting the following item:
11. Singapore Customs Service Personnel Board,
Ministry of Finance.
 
Public officers in the Singapore Customs Service holding posts in the Singapore Customs Department.
”;
(e)by deleting paragraph (a) in the second column of item 14; and
(f)by deleting item 14A and substituting the following item:
14A. Immigration & Checkpoints Authority Service Personnel Board, Ministry of Home Affairs.
 
Public officers in the Immigration & Checkpoints Specialist Service, wherever posted.
